The Technology & Intellectual Property Unit at Beauchamps hosted a breakfast seminar at its office entitled "Advertising Campaigns - Beware of the Legal Minefield!" on Thursday 10 February 2009.

   

The speakers were Ed McDonald, Chief Executive of the Association of Advertisers in Ireland; Maureen Daly, partner and head of Technology & Intellectual Property at Beauchamps; and Niall O’Brien, partner in Beauchamps.  The seminar examined the importance of advertising for businesses as well as the application of codes of practice such as the ASAI and the Broadcasting Commission in addition to the general legal issues that must be taken into consideration by businesses when advertising or marketing their products/services.  A lively Q&A session followed the three presentations.
