Baby Lifeline Conference

Aisling Gannon, Partner and Head of Beauchamps Healthcare Department will speak at the Baby Lifeline conference entitled, "Cerebral Palsy: from conception to birth and beyond". This conference will take place on Thursday 17th & Friday 18th September 2009 in Dublin City University, Glasnevin, Dublin 9.
 
Ms Mary Harney, the Minister for Health & Children in Ireland will perform the opening address on Friday 18th September. The conference is being stage in colloboration with the Coombe Hospital and its Master Dr. Chris Fitzpatrick. The programme will include presentations from eminent and leading clinicians and lawyers from the UK and Ireland.

  • How does cerebral palsy affect the individual?
  • What are the antenatal and intrapartum antecedents to cerebral palsy?
  • What is the role of premature delivery?
  • What are the medico-legal costs and how are they calculated?
  • What are the possible preventative meaasures and interventions that reduce the damage caused?
