Beauchamps advise Finavera on €8.4 million deal for Ireland’s largest on-shore wind farm

Canadian-based plc Finavera has sold a majority interest in its share of the 105 megawatt Cloosh Valley Wind Project in Galway to SSE Renewables (Ireland) Limited, the division of Scottish and Southern Energy ("SSE") that owns Airtricity.  The Cloosh Valley project is the largest proposed on-shore wind farm in Ireland.  Finavera will retain a 10% equity interest in the Gate 3 project which will be co-developed with SSE and Coillte.  Ainsley Heffernan, Head of Renewable Energy and Máire Cunningham, partner in the Corporate and Commercial Department, led the Beauchamps Solicitors team that acted as advisers to Finavera Renewables.
