Members of the MBA Association of Ireland gathered at Beauchamps Solicitors in Dublin to hear Hugo MacNeill, Managing Director Ireland of Goldman Sachs, speak about the essential ingredients for outstanding performance in elite sport, and how these are transferable to the workplace. The 37-times capped former Irish rugby international drew on his own experiences in building a successful career in investment banking, having excelled in one of the most demanding of team sports.
 
The event was the last in this year’s Inspiration series organised by the MBAAI, and sponsored by Beauchamps Solicitors. Covering topics such as political reform, governance, competitiveness and raising finance, past speakers included Patrick Coveney of Greencore, Fintan O’Toole of The Irish Times, Senator John Crown and Dr Don Thornhill, Chairman of the National Competitiveness Council.
