Beauchamps Solicitors are hosting a Breakfast Briefing at their offices on the 9th October, this Breakfast Briefing will address the assessment of general and special damages in Ireland and the proposed introduction of periodic payments in an award of damages.
 
The speakers are:
 
  • Aisling Gannon, Partner and Head of Healthcare
    Aisling will look at some practical steps defendants can take in an effort to reduce damages and costs
  • Charles Meenan SC, Law Library
    Charles will speak on recent court decisions and developments in terms of damages and awards in this jurisdiction
  • Colm McCarthy, Economist, UCD, Chairman of the Special Group on Public Service Numbers and Expenditure Programmes
    Colm will look at current inflation and investment return issues on the real rate of return and/or on structured settlements
  
This will be followed by a question and answer session to be chaired by Aisling Gannon, Partner and Head of Healthcare, Beauchamps Solicitors.
