Beauchamps Solicitors hosted a breakfast seminar entitled “Funding and Protecting your Ideas” in the G Hotel, Galway on Wednesday 11th March 2009.  The speakers were Conor McNamara, Investment Executive with the Western Development Commission Investment Fund; Máire Cunningham, Partner; and Maureen Daly, Partner and Head of Technology & Intellectual Property. 

  

The seminar examined the legal issues faced by start-up businesses including how to protect their intellectual property rights and highlighted the key issues from an investor’s perspective.  A lively Q&A session followed the three presentations.
