Imelda is a partner and is also the Chair of Beauchamps Solicitors. From 2001 to 2008 Imelda served as Beauchamps Solicitors Managing Partner. Imelda has been a Council Member of Dublin Chamber of Commerce since 2003 and was President of Dublin Chamber of Commerce for 2011.

Imelda is one of Ireland's leading franchise law experts and has been recognised as such in the International Who's Who of Franchise Lawyers for a number of years.
Imelda was also a member of the Business Regulation Forum, which reported to the Government with recommended steps to reduce the cost and administrative burden of regulation on business.
She is a member of the Governing Body of the Dublin Institute of Technology, where she chairs the Audit Committee.
Imelda is also a member of the Regulation of Practice Committee of the Law Society of Ireland.
