Niall O’Brien is a partner and head of the Public and Regulatory Law Unit and his clients include regulatory, representative and State bodies.
Niall has previously worked as in-house counsel with the Commission for Communications Regulation and has extensive experience advising on all aspects of public and regulatory law. He has experience of working in multi-disciplinary teams and managing judicial reviews and appeals in relation to decisions of public bodies. He advises his clients on the interpretation of legislation, policy development, regulatory enforcement, commercial and contractual issues, disciplinary matters, competition law, changes in legislation, discrimination issues and a wide range of statutory, legal and evidential matters. He also has considerable experience in advising on mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and re-organisations and commercial agreements and contracts.
