New Procurement Thresholds from 1 January 2022

On 12 November 2021, the European Commission published new financial thresholds for the application of the EU public procurement directives.

The new thresholds increase the existing thresholds slightly.

An overview of the new thresholds, which apply from 1 January 2022, is set out below.

Public Contracts Directive (2014/24/EU)

  SUPPLIES AND SERVICES WORKS LIGHT TOUCH (ANNEX XIV)
Central Government Authorities €140,000 (previously €139,000) €5,382,000 (previously €5,350,000) €750,000 (unchanged)
