Beauchamps announces the appointment of five new partners

Dublin 14 January 2022:  Beauchamps is pleased to announce the appointment of five new partners.

The new partners are Jeanne-Marie Moriarty (Financial Services and Regulation), Fiona O'Connell (Commercial Litigation), Simon Murphy (Insolvency and Restructuring), Conor McEvoy (Commercial Property & Housing) and Domhnaill Small (Commercial Property). 

John White, Managing  Partner at Beauchamps said "Congratulations to Jeanne-Marie, Fiona, Simon, Conor and Domhnaill on their well-deserved achievement.  Our clients will benefit from their diverse skills and deep sectoral knowledge . NEW PARTNERS:

Jeanne-Marie Moriarty

Jeanne-Marie is a partner in our Financial Services and Regulation team. She has a wealth of commercial expertise in a wide range of Financial Services including, Financial Regulation, Investment Funds, Pensions & Trust Law, Corporate Governance and Legal Risk management.  Jeanne-Marie has gained significant in-house experience from her previous roles as the Head of Legal and Compliance for Aon Consulting, together with leading the legal functions within Bank of Ireland Private Banking Ltd and Bank of Ireland Insurance & Investments Ltd and more recently as the Head of Litigation and the Principal Lawyer of Investment Funds and Regulation for Bank of Ireland Group. She also successfully designed and led the Professional Trustee Training Programmes for the Irish Association of Pension Funds for a number of years. Jeanne-Marie is also a qualified barrister. 

Fiona O’Connell

Fiona is a partner in our Commercial Litigation & Dispute Resolution team, working with financial institutions, corporate clients and public bodies.  She specialises in complex commercial disputes. Fiona also has vast expertise in advising in defamation actions and judicial review proceedings, as well as nuisance, product liability and professional negligence suits. 

Simon Murphy

Simon is a partner in our Insolvency & Corporate Restructuring team. He acts for clients across a wide spectrum of insolvency and litigation matters, and acts for all stakeholders including liquidators, receivers, and examiners. Simon has acted in some of the most high profile matters to come before the Irish Courts recently including the examinership of CityJet DAC and the test case against FBD Insurance with respect to business interruption insurance arising from the COVID 19 pandemic. Simon is also admitted to practice in England and Wales.

Conor McEvoy

Conor is a partner in our Commercial Property and Housing team. He advises approved housing bodies, local authorities, developers, investors, public bodies, landlords, tenants, financial institutions and funds on all aspects of commercial property and housing. As a key member of our award-winning Housing Team, he has advised on many of Ireland’s largest social and affordable housing schemes. Conor is admitted to practice in England and Wales.

Domhnaill Small

Domhnaill is a partner in our Commercial Property team, primarily working with large financial institutions and private equity funds, investors and their appointed receivers in relation to the management and disposal of large-scale real estate assets.  He has specialist experience in advising on the enforcement of security over property assets including the appointment of fixed asset receivers, sale of distressed property, general real estate loan portfolio management and title/security remediation. As a qualified Chartered Tax Advisor, Domhnaill also has extensive experience advising some of Ireland’s leading property developers and investors in relation to the tax efficient acquisition, management, and disposal of real estate assets.
