We regularly act for public bodies. In helping define our client’s public procurement strategy, we identify the most appropriate way of achieving the sought objectives, taking account of the risks and constraints, leading to discussions about the funding mechanism and asset ownership for the project.  We seek to achieve the optimum balance of risk, control and funding for a particular project.

 

The EU and Irish public procurement rules establish a regime to facilitate competitive, transparent and non-discriminatory purchasing and tendering procedures.  We do not perceive these compliance obligations as hurdles, but as commercial opportunities, if used properly.
