We are currently seeking to recruit an experienced Procurement Solicitor to join our expanding Procurement Team. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic team with a strong reputation. The position will involve a broad range of responsibilities including but not limited to:
Key Responsibilities:
- Advising primarily public and utility sector clients on all aspects of EU and Irish procurement law and national guidelines;
- Reviewing and advising on complex procurement documents and guiding clients through the procurement process, including setting evaluation criteria and methodologies, drafting standstill letters, and implementing contract modifications;
- Advising clients (public and private sector) on the enforcement of the procurement rules, both in defending and initiating procurement challenges;
- Keeping up to date with legal developments in the procurement space;
- Developing and maintaining strong client relationships and working as part of a team to deliver exceptional legal services.
The Candidate:
The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years’ PQE, with strong interest in and genuine experience of advising on procurement law. You will be a highly motivated team player, with a real desire to become an expert in this field, and have strong organisational and interpersonal skills as well as a good work ethic, energy, and enthusiasm.
Required Experience / Skills:
- 2-3 years' experience in public procurement law is a prerequisite;
- Excellent communication and organisation skills and an ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines;
- Strong academic record;
- Excellent technical and drafting skills, with real attention to detail;
- High level of commercial and business awareness;
- A proactive, measured and detail-oriented approach to problem-solving.
