About Brónagh

Brónagh is an Associate in our Public & Regulatory and Litigation & Dispute Resolution teams. She is dual qualified in Ireland and England/Wales, holds degrees in both Irish law and French law, and has a master's degree in public international law. 

Brónagh has developed strong expertise in public and regulatory law, as well as general dispute resolution, while working in leading law firms in Dublin and London. She advises regulators, statutory and public sector bodies, as well as local authorities on both contentious and non-contentious matters across a broad range of practice areas, including health and social care, planning and environmental, and information law (i.e., data protection, freedom of information and access to environmental information frameworks). Brónagh has notable experience advising on various court proceedings and has successfully managed judicial review proceedings, statutory appeals, and internal investigations. 

Recent Experience 

  • Advising the Health and Social Care Professionals Regulator (CORU) and the Medical Council of Ireland in respect of their statutory duties and enforcement powers.
  • Representing Fiosrú, The Office of the Police Ombudsman, in respect of a range of matters including judicial reviews proceedings and applications compelling the production of documents.
  • Advising daa on all planning and permitting aspects of its operations at Dublin Airport, as well as representing daa in both statutory appeals and judicial review applications in respect of regulatory determinations made by the Commission for Aviation Regulation.
  • Representing the Adoption Authority of Ireland in respect of numerous High Court domestic adoption applications.
  • Managing three parallel High Court judicial review applications challenging the regulator’s and State’s decisions to grant licences to operate a salmon farm (valued at c. €10 million).
  • Advising in respect of disclosure requests made under data protection, freedom of information and environmental information regulations.
  • Leading multi-tier legal reviews of environmental impact assessment reports for data centres, residential and industrial developments, and critical aviation infrastructure projects.
