Emily is an Associate in the firm's corporate & commercial team. Emily has developed expertise in the areas of commercial contracts, data protection, intellectual property and digital regulation while working in leading law firms in Dublin.
Emily advises a range of clients in the technology space including in the development of contractual frameworks and the intersection of technology and regulation including the GDPR, EU AI Act and Data Act. Emily has experience working with large public bodies and private organisations in the software, technology and financial services sectors. Emily has prior experience in corporate law and continues to contribute to the contractual, data protection and intellectual property elements of corporate mergers and acquisitions.
Relevant Experience
- Advising the Educational Research Centre on technology procurement contracts and negotiations
- Advising the Central Statistics Office on contractual framework for use in technology services procurement
- Providing transaction support in various mergers and acquisitions including the completion of due diligence and the preparation of IP documentation
- Drafting a range of data protection documentation and providing support to clients in ongoing data subject access requests
- Acting for software companies in the development of template contracts and the ongoing negotiation of these with specific customers.
- Advising a range of public bodies on the drafting and negotiation on contractual arrangements to be used in the procurement of IT services and technology projects
