Dublin, 10 September, 2025 – Beauchamps LLP is delighted to announce the appointment of Peter Curran and Darragh Blake as senior partners, further strengthening the firm’s expertise in projects, procurement, infrastructure, energy and banking & finance. Both join from Eversheds Sutherland.
These strategic appointments come at a pivotal time for Ireland’s development, coinciding with the recent launch of the revised National Development Plan and following Beauchamps’ flagship housing conference, Momentum Matters I Accelerate 2025, at the Dublin Royal Convention Centre.
Peter Curran – Projects, Infrastructure & Energy
Peter Curran was head of the all-island Projects and Procurement group at Eversheds Sutherland. A commercial lawyer with over 25 years’ experience, Peter has advised on some of the most significant procurement, infrastructure and government-backed projects in Ireland and internationally.
His recent work includes:
- Advising EirGrid on the procurement of the €1bn+ Celtic Interconnector project, a sub-sea electricity link between Ireland and France.
- Advising Bristow Group on its successful tender for Ireland’s national search and rescue services contract.
- Advising the National Development Finance Agency on the procurement of Higher Education PPP Bundles 1 & 2 and Social Housing PPP Bundle 2.
Peter’s appointment significantly enhances Beauchamps’ capabilities in procurement and projects, positioning the firm at the forefront of the next generation of infrastructure development across various sectors including transport, energy and housing.
Darragh Blake – Banking & Finance
Darragh Blake, also formerly with Eversheds Sutherland , brings extensive expertise in property, development finance, acquisition finance, project finance - including the energy sector, infrastructure, structured finance and syndicated lending. He is recognised by both Chambers & Partners and Legal 500 as a leading individual in Banking & Finance.
His client work includes:
- Advising Ronan Group Real Estate on the acquisition and financing of a portfolio of investment assets.
- Advising a large institutional investor on the financing and construction of a 163 unit BTR scheme in Co. Dublin.
- Advising JP Morgan on the refinancing of Endo PLC through a complex mix of secured notes and term loans.
- Advising a lender on the set up of a 110 securitisation vehicle for the purposes of purchasing a loan portfolio.
- Advising the National Development Finance Agency on the financing aspects of Higher Education PPP Bundles 1 & 2 and Social Housing PPP Bundle 2.
Darragh’s experience advising both lenders and borrowers on major property, energy and infrastructure projects further bolsters Beauchamps’ financing capabilities at a time of significant growth in these sectors.
