Beauchamps' Energy and Corporate M&A teams were delighted to support the promoters in the development and subsequent sale of this project to Macquarie’s Green Investment Group (GIG).  Skerd Rocks was developed by Fuinneamh Sceirde Teoranta ("FST") and is the only Phase 1 offshore wind project off Ireland's West coast.  Once operational this project will supply enough energy to power the equivalent of up to 295,000 homes.

Paul McSweeney, director of FST commented "This was a complex transaction with a lot of moving parts.  Beauchamps' team provided invaluable support not just on the legal side but also on the commercial aspects.  Their in-depth understanding of the Irish offshore wind sector and the associated consenting regime was also instrumental in ensuring the successful conclusion of the deal."

The Beauchamps team was led by Ainsley Heffernan and supported by Stuart Conaty, Damian Maloney, John Sweeney and Daire Russell.
